These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Reframe Studio website at reframe-studio.app, the beta waitlist, and the Reframe Studio desktop application (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Reframe Studio, an independent software project based in the Republic of Korea, contactable at support@reframe-studio.app. When paid plans launch, orders will be sold through our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record (see Section 8), which acts as the seller of record for those purchases.
2. The Service
Reframe Studio is a macOS desktop application for creating motion-graphics videos by describing scenes in natural language to your own authenticated Claude Code, with live preview, review, and export. The application is distributed through our public releases page and activated with a license key.
3. Beta program
The Service is currently in beta and offered free of charge to a limited number of early users. Beta software may contain bugs, change without notice, or be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Beta license keys are issued at our discretion and may be subject to an expiry date.
4. License to use the application
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Reframe Studio on devices you own or control, solely with a valid license key issued to you. You may not resell, sublicense, share, or redistribute your license key; circumvent the license activation; or reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the application except where such restriction is prohibited by law. Detailed end-user license terms will accompany the paid release.
5. Your responsibilities
- You must supply and maintain your own authenticated Claude Code and comply with Anthropic’s applicable terms; your usage of Claude is between you and Anthropic.
- You are responsible for any third-party tools the app relies on at runtime (such as ffmpeg and a Chromium download).
- You will not use the Service unlawfully or to create content that infringes others’ rights.
6. Your content
Projects, scenes, and videos you create are yours. They are stored locally on your device; we do not claim ownership of them and do not receive them through the Service.
7. Open-source engine
Reframe Studio is built on “reframe,” an open-source motion-graphics engine licensed separately under its own open-source license. Your use of the open-source engine is governed by that license, not these Terms.
8. Payments (future)
Paid plans are not yet available. When introduced, orders will be processed by our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record, and pricing, billing, and any refund or cancellation terms will be presented at checkout and in a separate Refund Policy. These Terms will be updated accordingly before any sale.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rendered output will meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access or license if you breach these Terms or to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 9–13) will survive.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the Republic of Korea will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will take effect when posted. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
